Your work environment is more than just a chair and a monitor. The quality of the air you breathe has a huge impact on your productivity.

Stale air can cause:

  • Headaches

  • Reduced concentration

  • Fatigue

  • Irritation of the respiratory tract

What affects air quality:

  • Circulation: Fresh air means more oxygen for your brain.

  • Humidity: Air that’s too dry (below 40%) irritates mucous membranes; air that’s too humid (above 60%) can cause tiredness.

Practical steps:

  1. Ventilate every hour for a few minutes (especially in the morning).

  2. If you can’t open a window, get an air purifier or a fan with a filter.

  3. Monitor humidity with a hygrometer – the ideal range is 40–60%.

  4. If the air is too dry, use a humidifier or place a bowl of water near the heater.

Bonus tip: Keep some indoor plants – they improve both air quality and your mood.
