primaTime for AI Assistants
Connect primaTime to Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible AI assistant and work with your workspace by chatting: track time, manage projects and tasks, run reports, and draft invoices — without leaving the conversation.
The connector acts with your identity and your existing permissions. It can see and change exactly what you can in the primaTime app, nothing more.
How to connect
Claude (claude.ai / Claude Desktop)
Open Settings → Connectors → Browse connectors and find primaTime.
Click Connect — a primaTime sign-in window opens. Sign in and pick the organization you want to work in.
ChatGPT
pen Settings → Apps & Connectors and find primaTime.
Click Connect and sign in with your primaTime account, picking your organization on the sign-in screen.
Claude Code and other MCP clients
Any MCP client can connect directly to the server:
claude mcp add --transport http primatime https://mcp.primatime.com/mcp
Then run /mcp and complete the sign-in in the browser. In other MCP clients, add https://mcp.primatime.com/mcp as a remote (Streamable HTTP) server.
Don’t see primaTime in the list? You can always add it manually as a custom connector: in Claude, Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector; in ChatGPT, Settings → Connectors → Add. Use the URL https://mcp.primatime.com/mcp — sign-in and permissions work the same way.
Switching organizations: your organization is chosen at sign-in. To work in a different one, disconnect the connector in your assistant’s settings and connect again, picking the other organization on the sign-in screen.
What you can do
Time tracking — log time, start/stop timers, review and correct entries (“log 2 hours on the API project this morning”).
Projects & tasks — create and update tasks, move them across the board, manage sprints and your personal to-do list.
Reports — summarize tracked time by project, client, person, or tag for any period.
Clients & finance — manage clients, billable rates, and expenses; draft and issue invoices from tracked time.
Try asking
“What’s on my plate today, and how much did I work last week?”
“Start a timer on the checkout crash bug in the Mobile App project.”
“Mark the design-system task done and move the product page design to In Progress.”
“How many billable hours did we log for Skyline Studio in August? Draft an invoice for them.
Data & permissions
The connector uses OAuth: you sign in with your primaTime account, and the assistant acts on your behalf with your existing permissions. The connector service stores no credentials, workspace data, or conversation content. See our Privacy Policy for details.
You can revoke access at any time by disconnecting the connector in your AI assistant’s settings.
Data Security
Your data is safe with us. We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption and secure data centers, to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Access Control: Your application logs and data are accessible only to you and those you delegate access to.
Data Encryption: Sensitive data is encrypted during transmission and at rest.
Regular Audits: We regularly review our information collection and processing practices to prevent unauthorized access.
Troubleshooting & support
“Authentication failed” / tools stopped working — reconnect (re-authenticate) the connector in your assistant’s settings; your session token may have expired.
Data from the wrong organization — the organization is fixed at sign-in; disconnect and reconnect to pick another one.
